During these stressful times, we are all looking for ways to try to keep our chins held high and reduce the anxiety of the uncertainty amongst us. As we are (hopefully) approaching the end of quarantine and social distancing – here are some decor ideas to brighten up your personal space that can also reduce stress!

My Favorites:

PEPPERMINT 

First on Lisa Walden’s list is peppermint! There is a special place in my heart for this plant. Not only do I love peppermint flavor – but the scent reminds me of home during the holidays.

According to Lisa, “Peppermint has been found to lower frustration and also boost alertness. Menthol, found in the plant, is commonly included in many bath products as it helps to relax the muscles”.

LAVENDER

 

Not sure why, but seeing and smelling lavender reminds me of France!

According to Lisa, “Its calming scent and beautiful lilac hue is incredibly relaxing. Often used to help soothe agitated babies, the plant’s oil is commonly prescribed to help in the treatment of anxiety and depression”.

JASMINE

According to Lisa, “Jasmine is known for helping to ease the body from anxiety and is an excellent plant to have close by when you sleep. This too can be taken in tea or purchased as an organic oil”.
