Smoothie Solution

Being your healthiest-looking self starts from within.

Originally, I began my smoothie journey in an attempt to lose a few pounds. I figured blending a mixed salad with fruits and vegetables would make for a lighter and healthier meal, instead of putting my stomach to sleep every night filled with meat and potatoes. Turns out, not only did I lose weight – I also started to notice a positive, healthy, and glowing difference in my skin! Note to self: give your body the nutrients it needs to function properly.

Our bodies need foods that are filled with nutrients. REAL nutrients. Have a bag of chips laying around? Take a look at the ingredients….finding it hard to pronounce half of them? Then there’s probably not much nutritional value or reason for you to be ingesting. Think about it like this –  how do the foods you eat on a daily basis serve YOU?

According to Ashley Koff, R.D., author of “Mom Energy,”  The nutritious combinations of fruits, vegetables, proteins, and good-for-you fats in these healthy smoothies are especially good for your skin. They are packed with essential fatty acids, which calm puffiness and redness. They’re loaded with antioxidants, which keep wrinkles and sagging to a minimum. And many of the ingredients here are also alkalizing, which helps the body release skin-irritating toxins.”

TIP: Shop at SPROUTS for these items. Can’t beat the price for good, organic fruits and  veggies!
